Lost in Translation 7a

Apremont Désert, Fontainebleau

Overhang SitStart Slopers Traverse

Possibly the least straightforward line in Font. Possible also that not one person has ever climbed it "correctly" the first time without having done extensive research.

The version, as opened, traverses a full six feet to the left at the lowest possible level before attacking the bulge. The version that everybody actually does goes kinda up and left along an obvious set of fun slopers and crimps. Both end with a topout in the same place.

So if you're one of the thousands of people who haven't actually "done" this problem, please don't feel like you need to trek back into the forest to get it "right". You're really not missing anything.
