Apremont is huge area, and has many of the best climbs in the forest. Thankfully it is also fairly quick drying, so it was ideal for a slightly dodgy forecast. I chose Apremont Ouest as it is the area I know best, but to be honest, I think it is one of the best for girls. There are so many quality routes without crazy reaches, and it runs to a more technical style of climb. As fortune had it we had an immensely strong crew of 12 girls with the optimism for a dry forecast, and psych enough to scare off the rain! We were joined by Peggy from Oxford with her itty-bitty-bonus-Betty in the making, still cranking on 7s at 5-months pregnant, as well as a strong local crew and visitors from the US and all over Europe. In all we topped at least 10 7-grade problems between the 12 of us, and climbed for more than 7 hours! Thank you to everyone who came and made it such a fun day! And THANK YOU to Jonathan Moritz (@generation_crashpad) for the awesome photos!!
